Working as a Professional Trauma Cleaner
It was a curious thing. How one man can make a living- and enjoy it, at the same time- cleaning up the filthiest of junk, with risks unimaginable to an ordinary person. I was certain, it’s not just primarily because of the money. True enough I was right, because the more I got to work with him, the more I see his sincerity and his amazing work ethic as a Professional Trauma and Forensic Cleaner.
Martijn van Lith.
Featured in many news articles in Australia (and the UK) and sought after by many clients in South East Queensland region. Over 4000 of them.
He has been in the industry for over 15 years. It’s scary for most but it’s his normal job on a daily basis.
He started out as a domestic cleaner (15 years ago and within 6 months catered for clients) and then eventually catered for clients with decluttering needs or those affected by hoarding (and crime scene cleaning due to the demand of requests Martijn was receiving). He is also working with correctional institutions and, as a matter of fact, has prison contracts.
What is it like being a Professional Trauma Cleaner?
It’s not your average job. You see crime scenes, homicide cases, suicide cases, and just blood everywhere. Not to mention the emotional baggage and health risk that comes along with it. But I’ve never seen such a down-to-earth, caring, and hardworking person like Martijn van Lith. I once asked him why he’s doing what he’s doing when he can have a career as a chef (because he knows how to cook and is very good at it!) but he just nonchalantly tells me he finds it fulfilling to come into the most difficult time of someone’s life and turn his/her very bad situation into a happy and comfortable and less stressful environment- giving people peace of mind- knowing that there are people out there who want to help but can’t help. He loves to be that guy.
I was just mindblown. I hope that all people would have the same attitude towards their work and towards other people. Not everyone has that same kind of passion. In fact, some are just going through the motions. He sounds too good to be true but he does exist! And he’s been helping thousands of people from all walks of life, move forward and live a stress-free environment and life. Just check out the testimonials about him.
